 Product Overview

Diaphragm couplings are used in doubly fed wind turbines, consisting of brake discs, expansion sleeves, diaphragm assemblies, fiberglass intermediate pipes, and torque limiters. Installed between the output shaft of the gearbox and the input shaft of the generator, transmitting the output torque of the gearbox to the generator, and achieving radial, axial, and angular compensation through the deformation of the connecting rod diaphragm. Fiberglass has excellent insulation performance, which can prevent the derivative current from the generator end from being transmitted to the gearbox through the coupling and causing electrical corrosion. When the power grid malfunctions, such as low voltage ride through and other loads, the generator can generate a high reverse torque to damage the gearbox. The torque limiter of the coupling can buffer the instantaneous reverse torque of the generator to protect the gearbox by slipping, thereby achieving non-stop operation of the wind turbine.
